Daan Folgering

Daan Folgering has over 25 years of experience in commercial, financial and corporate litigation and arbitration. He has successfully assisted client in numerous complex disputes, both in a national and international context. Daan is known for his thoroughness, strategic insight and thorough professional knowledge. He combines precision and practical solutions with a clear focus on results. Before co-founding ALDEN, Daan spent more than 10 years as a partner at a renowned top-50 law firm.

Daan specializes in commercial and shareholder disputes and has an impressive track record in arbitral proceedings at ICC, NAI and LCIA, among others. In addition, he has completed the prestigious Grotius specialization course 'Corporate and Liability Law', further deepening his expertise.

Daan is an active member of several international organizations, including Legalmondo, IBA and AIJA, and therefore has an extensive international network. This enables him to optimally assist clients in cross-border disputes.

Daan Folgering has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister): Civil procedural law, Arbitration, Seizure and execution law, Litigation.

Based on this registration, he is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
